Upgrades mean nothing...

...when places like UNICEF, Bank of New York, Dupont, Reuters, and so many others have dropped or are dropping Notes in favor of other solutions.

The Notes client has been dead for years now. IBM abandoned client development after version 6. It's impossible to get any work developing for the client...there just isn't any.

Look at Dice.com and you'll find very few Domino development jobs. It's mostly migrations and short-term admin jobs to assist while replacement solutions are ramped up. Searching for Notes or Domino gets you less than 60 hits, with many duplicates.

Meanwhile, searching for "Java" gets you nearly 6K hits. ".Net" gets you over 3.7K hits. "Oracle" gets you over 3K hits. There's a lot of work going on out there...just none of it on Domino.
